"God's Promise of His Peace" - EVENING SERVICE 09232018

On Sunday nights we have been talking about the promises of God.  This Sunday evening, we talked about God’s promise of His peace from our worries, stresses, struggles, anxieties, etc.  Life is hard sometimes and we feel in over our heads but (when we rejoice in the Lord, allow our gentle spirit to shine upon humanity, and make our requests to God) everything will be ok. Trust in the Lord today and give Him all your hardships.

"Choosing Christian Leaders" - MORNING SERVICE 09232018

On Sunday mornings I have been preaching through the Gospel of Luke and this past Sunday we looked at Luke 6:12-16 where Jesus’ choose his twelve disciples.  Choosing leaders is something that every person must do (at least in the USA) every year on election day.  Without getting overly political, let me ask the question “How should Christian’s choose leaders?”  I told my group that picking leaders NEEDS to involve prayer, following the will of God and picking biblically qualified leaders.

Missionaries Andy & Cindy Kennedy

On Tuesday evening, the 4^th session of our On-Mission Celebration, we were blessed to hear about the ministry and work of Andy and Cindy Kennedy.  The Kennedy’s, along with their four children, served the Lord in Brazil for 15 years and for the past five years have served in Germany.  They had a very powerful message about how God always provides.

Missionary Trevor Yoakum - MORNING SERVICE 09162018

This Sunday morning began our “On Mission Celebration”; where we are celebrating the work of different missionaries around the world.  During our morning worship service, we were blessed to hear about the ministry of Trevor and Kimberly Yoakum and their four children (Tristan, Maryann, Aidin and Christianna).  Trever serves as a professor at a seminary in Togo, Africa.  Check out his message from Sunday. 

Last night we had evening service outside around a campfire in the back yard of the church and heard about the mission work of Jack Burns to the countries of Russia, Brazil, South Korea and South Africa.  Unfortunately, I was unable to record his message. 

We are meeting with three additional missionaries on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week starting each night at 6 pm.  Come join us and be blessed to hear about their service to and for the Kingdom of God.

“God’s Promise of the Kingdom to Those Who Love Him” - EVENING SERVICE 09092018

On Sunday nights we have been talking about the promises of God.  On Sunday morning, during Sunday School, we studied James 2:1-10.  James 2:5 says, “Listen, my beloved brethren: did not God choose the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?”  Naturally, I decided to focus on God’s promise of the kingdom to those who love Him.  So, Sunday night, I asked the question “What Kingdom?”  Of course, the answer is A Heavenly Kingdom but so frequently we focus more on “our” kingdom instead of God’s kingdom.  We always need to seek the kingdom of God!

"Help Others, Like Jesus" - MORNING SERVICE 09092018

On Sunday, September 9, 2018, we entered Luke 6.  We talked about the importance of helping those in need.  Using ANYTHING as an excuse for why we do not give aid to the less fortunate is just an excuse for inaction.  Christians are called to help the less fortunate.  We are called to help those in need both physically and spiritually.  Refusing to do so clearly breaks Jesus’ second greatest commandment, “YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.” (Matthew 22:39)  Help those in need, as you come across opportunities to do so.

“God’s Promise to Reward His Saints: Before the Throne of God” - EVENING SERVICE 09022018

On Sunday nights I have been preaching through a series titled "The Promises of God."  Last night I finished the series by looking at the final step in the process; Christian’s casting their crowns before the throne of God.  In the end of it, followers of Christ are just not worthy of receive a reward from our God of amazing grace.  As a result, we will find it better to cast our crowns, in worship, before the Lord.

"The Logical VS. the Illogical" - MORNING SERVICE 09022018

Yesterday morning I preached about some logical and illogical things that the people of Jesus’ time did and didn’t do.  I told my group that the most logical thing we can do is accept Jesus’ free gift of salvation.  I mean, come on; it’s FREE!  Christ did all the work for you.  He died your death!  He paid your penalty.  All you have to do is accept that free gift.  But the choice is yours.  What are you going to do?  Embrace Christ or reject Him?
