"God's Promise of an Abundant Life" - EVENING SERVICE 05272018

On Sunday nights I have been preaching through a series titled "The Promises of God."  This past Sunday evening we talked about God's promise, to all Christians, of an abundant life in Christ from John 10.  Life gets a little crazy sometimes and we find ourselves in a tailspin.  BUT, if you allow Jesus to take control everything will be OK!

On Sunday morning, after taking seven weeks to make it through Luke chapter 1, we finally arrived at Luke 2 and the Christmas story.  I decided to break the birth of Christ into two parts.  Yesterday I preached about the effects that Jesus' birth had on the earth and told my congregation that the birth of Christ brought the world joy, salvation and peace.

On Sunday nights I have been preaching through a series titled "The Promises of God."  For the past couple of weeks we have been talking about different aspects of God's promise of the Holy Spirit from chapters 14-16 in the Gospel of John.  Last night we talked about how the Holy Spirit testifies about God and how the same Spirit within Christian's helps us do the same.  Followers of Christ can tell the world about Jesus because the power of God (the Holy Spirit) is within us.

"The Magnificat: Mary's Praise to God" - MONRING SERVICE 05062018

Yesterday morning we studied Mary's visit to her relative Elizabeth and her song or hymn that is called the Magnificat.  In her praise to God, Mary acknowledges that God has blessed her and that her blessing from God has an impact to the rest of humanity.
